Tavel Ros? is revered the world over but despite this, it is suprisingly hard to find as it rarely leaves the domestic market. It must be good then! We can certainly vouch for that. This Tavel has all the classic hallmarks; including depth of flavour and power. On the palate, it gives cherry alongside white peach and spice with a super generous finish. It?s a gloriously complex ros? that will carry you through all three courses nicely!
The Lafond family?s wine making heritage dates back to 1870 and the family-run estate now own holdings in Lirac, Tavel, Ch?teauneuf du Pape as well as the generic C?tes du Rh?ne appellation. The estate was recently headed up by Pascal but more recently, his two sons Gregoire and Jean-Baptiste run the full operation with the former in charge of winemaking and the latter managing the commercial entity. All Lafond wines are produced organically and we?re proud to stock their Lirac Blanc and Rouge also.
